Welcome to the Jiggers blog. The Jiggers are a ceilidh band based in Scotland. We play all over the UK and beyond. Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stirling and other central belt locations incur no travel fees.

Rubbish! We send out our first newsletter in ages telling people about our new website, and then our web servers get hacked, which is a bit sad. If you visited the site yesterday and all you got was a message saying “server rooted”…apologies! Happily we have a really nice guy who looks after the sites and he got it fixed really quickly. All services are resumed!
Naughty Hackers make my kitten cry.

Website launch
Of course, if you’re reading this, the new Jiggers site is already online…
If you’ve noticed any problems with it, please email us…we’re fixing things up
before we officially launch the site and tell people about it, and there’s still one
or two wee glitches and gremlins. We hope to launch the site mid-august 2011 with
much ceremony, plaque-unveiling, smashing of champagne bottles off the hull etc…

Ceilidh at GUU: Sat 11th June 2011
UPDATE! If you’d like to come along to our ceilidh tomorrow night (sat 11th Jun 2011) at the Glasgow University Union, where the 5 piece band is playing, please contact us. We have a few free tickets available, and there’s a raffle fundraiser for a good cause, so bring a few quid for that.
