Venue Review: The Signet Library, Edinburgh

The Signet Library

The Jiggers have played at the Signet Library many times for both weddings and corporate events.

The Signet is right in the heart of the historic Old Town, just a stone’s throw from St Giles’ Cathedral. St Giles’ Cathedral has nevertheless requested that you don’t throw stones at it, as its windows are expensive…

Quirky features

It’s an elegant and visually striking venue with fine portraits on the walls, high ceilings and decorative pillars.  The grand staircase is an ideal location for photographs and the varied accommodation lends itself to dancing.

What makes it a good venue?

It provides all the modern facilities and break out rooms you’d expect from a contemporary venue, but with the period elegance and attention to detail that you’d be hard pressed to find in a modern hotel or venue.

Our impressions

The staff are always pleasant and helpful here and they offer a unique blend of the traditional and the modern.
