Ceilidh in Glasgow University Union (GUU) this week

Ceilidh_dance_glasgow_university Want to come to a JIGGERS ceilidh this Saturday?

This Saturday night (22nd May 2010) the 5 piece band are booked to play at the GUU for an “old boys” school reunion party. Because of Champion’s League and other stuff, the client has sold only about 50 tickets. It will be quite a relaxed, informal affair, so he’s asked me if I can drum up any local support who’d enjoy a jig aboot. It’s free if you want to join them, then let me know. The email is info @ thejiggers DOT co D O T uk

Note: please do contact me first if you’d like to come along, and I’ll clear it with the client. The people who bought tickets are also getting a meal, but free guests just get to dance about, so carb up before you come!

PS GUU is a student union, so I.D. may be required for you young-looking types.

About

Jigblog is the blog of Greg de Blieck.

I’m a musician and entrepreneur. I’ve been running music-related businesses since I started the Jiggers Ceilidh Band in my final year at school in 1997.

I have set up two companies that reflect my various musical interests. Big Day Music ltd is a music agency that hires out musicians and bands (like the Jiggers), and Beatcave is a music production service offering remixing and programming for commercial music.

I am also a professional songwriter and am the credited writer of such hits as __________ (information pending)
