The Jiggers Scottish ceilidh band perform regularly at weddings and corporate events in The National Piping Centre in Glasgow, one of Scotland’s top ceilidh venues. It has excellent acoustics, great food and friendly staff. The band love performing there, and it has a great conference suite with a good sized dance floor.  A good choice for weddings and events for around 100-150 people. Highly recommended.

Just a quick note to say thanks very much for Saturday night – you did a great job and it was a fantastic night!  Everybody was dancing, you kept things going really well, and lots of people commented on how good the band were. We’ll definitely be recommending you to anybody who’s looking for a wedding ceilidh band.

Jiggers Ceilidh Band At Oran Mor Wedding, Glasgow

The Jiggers Ceilidh band recently played a gig at a wedding in Oran Mor, Glasgow – here’s some feedback:

I was wondering if you could pass on a massive thanks to the ceilidh band who played our wedding on the 3rd July in Oran Mor. They were full of energy the whole night and managed to have the dance floor full all night and made it very easy and comfortable for my relatives who weren’t from Scotland ( and who had never ceilidh danced before). They all had a ball, although not sure how well they were following the steps!!

Craig and I had the most amazing day and my love for ceilidh dancing has managed to grow even more! Thank you again.

A belated thank you to the band for a great night.

Everyone enjoyed trying to “dance” the jigs and reels. We know we were pathetic but that just added to the fun. The Jiggers will go down as a high point of 2010 for any an artist blacksmiths around the world. Please pass our many thanks and apologies on to the musicians.

Just thought I’d send you an email to thank you and the Jiggers for an unforgettable performance at our wedding last weekend. Not only were the band slick, professional, and entirely hassle-free in setting up and performing for the Ceilidh, but the music was excellent, the calling easy to follow (even for those guests from South of the border), and the banter between the band and the guests was simply hilarious. It really got the party going, and many of the guests made the point of telling me how brilliant the band were.

Having booked dozens of Ceilidh bands for other events in the past, and seen many others at Ceilidhs, I have to say that the Jiggers are one of the best I’ve seen! If you need any references, quotes from customers, etc, let me know, as I’d be happy to recommend the band to future customers.

Please pass on my thanks to the band. Hope they made it up the road in a sensible time after the gig.
