GETTING THERE

BY BUS

There are a lot of buses go through Shawlands Cross which is a one minute walk from the venue.

First Bus: 45 (Auchinairn-Kennishead) This will take you to the venue at 1120 Pollockshaws Road.

Arriva:  3 (Glasgow-Barrhead Auchenback) This will take you to the venue at 1120 Pollockshaws Road.

Also, numbers, 47, 48 and 57 will take you to Shawlands Cross.

The journey time is about 10 minutes.

All the above buses can be caught from the relevant bus stop in Union Street, beside Central Station.

BY TRAIN

Shawlands railway station is about 10 minutes walk from the venue, just head east (towards town) on Pollockshaws Road. Train leaves from Glasgow Central. Plan your journey using National Rail

BY CAR

There is on-street parking in the surrounding areas close to the venue.

BY TAXI

Probably about £5 for a black cab from town.

Destiny Centre, Shawlands

If you are unsure about your return journey staff at the venue will be happy to advise on the nearest bus/train/taxi points.

TIMES

The BIG JIG doors open at 7.30, and the event is scheduled to start at 8.00pm, finish at 11.15pm

TICKETS

If you intend to buy tickets on the door please note that there is a likelihood you will have to queue for a while! Tickets can be pre-booked here, or phone 08444 77 1000.

You can reserve tickets for collection at the venue, then simply give your name at the box office (don’t join the ticket-buyers’ queue!)

Note: no discounts will be given for group bookings made on the door.

You will not be able to book online tickets the day of the event.

FOOD AND DRINK

There will be a cafe and refreshments on sale at the venue.

The venue has a limited drinks licence but champagne and strawberries will be served in the VIP area (go VIP for a £5 donation to the Destiny Angels charity!)

Please do not bring alcohol into the venue.

Also, should you wish to dine beforehand, book a table at the nearby Bella Napoli restaurant, and quote BIG JIG to get 20% off your pre-theatre menu (table vacated by 7.30).
