Just some of the things that we can do for your wedding…

First Dance: If you want one, we’ll play a traditional first waltz, or play a recording of your choice.

Set-up: We usually set up after the meal, when the room is being “turned around”. In certain circumstances, you can also arrange for the band to set up earlier in the day.

Venues: We can recommend venues if you’re stuck where to go. We know the majority of the wedding venues around Scotland, so we’re likely to be aware of any logistical issues associated with your venue. Plus, we always liaise with the venue beforehand to cover any eventualities.

Ceilidh/DJ split: The Jiggers includes a DJ to finish off the night, play background music at the break etc.. This invariably goes down really well, and because we’re supplying both, you don’t need to worry about band and DJ fighting for space on the stage! It also means there is more flexibility with when the ceilidh ends/DJ starts. Phone us for more details, or see our DJ page.

Dance Calling: If you have guests from abroad or (shock, horror!) South Of The Border, then just let us know. We will make sure the dance explanations are tailored to cater for guests who might never have done it before. Remember, ceilidh dancing is designed to be very easy and fun, and our caller will keep your guests right, and make sure they’re having a great time. And if you like, you can also hire our excellent demonstration dancers to help out.

Covers: The band can also include a covers set as part of the entertainment. Please note this is 5 piece band only, and by prior arrangement. Contact us to discuss this.

Other Musicians: We are part of the Big Day Music Ltd music agency. This means we can offer discounted rates for clients who wish to hire e.g. a piper, string quartet, background jazz pianist for during the meal etc… Visit www.bigdaymusic.net or call us for more advice.
